27th Annual General Body Meeting of PowerGrid held at New Delhi

The 27^th AGM of POWERGRID was held on 16^th September, 2016 at  Delhi. During his address to the Shareholders, CMD informed that the Gross Fixed Assets has surpassed Rs.1,50,000 crore. Total Revenue of Rs.21,281 crore has risen about 20% YoY and Profit after Tax has grown 21 % to Rs.6027 crore. During the year POWERGRID has achieved the highest ever capitalization of Rs. 31,788 crores. Inter-Regional power transfer capacity has seen the highest ever addition of 13,200 MW.

Further, CMD informed the stakeholders that the first ever 800 kV HVDC line of the country, 1750 km long Biswanath Chariali – Agra transmission line was commissioned this year. 400kV line International links with Bangladesh and Nepal were made operational this year.  World’s highest voltage level 1200 kV UHVAC test station at Bina has been charged successfully. 

CMD in the presence of full Board of Directors, proudly announced that POWERGRID has been voted as India’s Best Companies to Work in 2016. The Company is the only Indian PSU placed in the list of ‘Top 50 Fastest Growing Energy Companies’ of the World.
